The humble porcupine has suffered great losses to their numbers in Southern Africa in recent years due to the strikingly beautiful and decorative nature of their glossy black and white quills.
Protests and marches were organized demanding the banning of all quills for use in crafting products. It was partially successful.
The Eco Africa's crafting artisans had already considered the problem and invented a solution.
